Hey everyone, another week down I honestly dont know where time goes! This week was a pretty good week, I am working really hard and really starting to see time FLY. Like this week went by super fast, and I had some cool experiences and some that were a little unusual as well. I will start with just a general good experience.
So this week I was on interchanges with another missionary in my district named Elder Ablizurrus. He is super cool and he is from Guatemala and doesnt speak any english at all(which doesnt matter too much I can say what I need to now) and we were in a lesson with a pretty recent investigator that we found contacting. Her name is Margarita and she has been living in her house for like 30 something years like super long. But anyways we were teaching her a lesson about the Book of Mormon and how it is the word of God and works with the bible as another testament of Jesus Christ. It was a really good lesson and at the end I did the invitation for baptism and invited her to be baptized. She said yes but we didnt commit her to a date yet. But she is really nice. I could feel the spirit really strong in that lesson and I felt a lot of love for her. I love the people here so so much.
Another really cool experience I had this week was in a lesson with a husband and wife named Familia Mendez. The wife is a less active member and the husband is investigating the church. We went and taught them the first lesson about the restoration of the gospel. About Joseph Smith and prophets and about how our Church is the only true church on the whole earth because when Jesus Christ was on the earth he only established one church and thats ours. At the end we invited him to be baptized. We invited him to pray. And when I bore my testimony about prayer the spirit literally radiated through the entire room. I was real close to crying and everyone could tell I got pretty emotional. I told him that if he prayed and recieved an answer that this is true, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, and got baptized, he would be able to eventually go through the temple after 1 year and be sealed to his family forever. It as a really powerful spiritual moment for me. The spirit was super strong. I am so happy and so glad that I am here in the mission.
The mission is honestly the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life, but I wouldnt give this up for anything. The experience of walking into someones home and sharing a message with them about how families can be together forever and feeling the spirit and knowing that they are feeling the spirit is an experience that is very special to me. The people here alot of them dont have much and the message that I am out sharing with them can make them happy. They can recieve much more happiness in knowing that they can follow Jesus Christ and live with their families forever and that is so so cool. I love it. I love you guys, I hope all of you have a great week and always remember that through the gospel and the blessings in it we can be with our families forever!
