So this area is actually pretty small cause its like a little village or town. So we have to do a lot of finding and a lot of walking because their is not a bus that helps us to get around our area. Its super beautiful here though. Also everyone here is pretty lazy. A lot of them just have relatives from the states send them money and so they just sleep most of the day because it is so hot outside. Or because it is raining one of the two. But anyways we have been doing a ton of finding to get some good investigators going. We found one in particular that I would like to talk about. But the day here is still the same as regarding to the schedual. We wake up get ready eat study go out eat lunch work then eat dinner then plan for the next day. Its cool but sometimes it feels repetitive. But that is totally alright. Anyway I wanna talk about someone we found this week!
So this week we found a girl that is 16 whos name is Tracy. We found her just contacting and she is so so so positive. We taught her 3 lessons this week and the spirit is super strong in the lessons we have with her. She is praying reading and receiving an answer from the spirit that these things are true. It is super cool to see her progress so fast and see her reading and praying! She also has 2 brothers and her parents who aren't super interested right now but hopefully her golden example can change that a little bit. Its amazing what the spirit can do to people. It changes people in a way that is special and internal. God helps us change a lot from the inside out.
Also just a funny story for you guys. So this week me and my comp were just walking down a road going to visit someone and this guy who is off a ways building a house just yells, Jesus! and I looked over and apparently the guy was talking to us cause we waved his hand and told us to come over. SO we went over there and started talking to him. He was obviously a little high but that's alright. He started talking about a bunch of things about God and actually said some pretty profound deep things and we were just there listening to him. Then he told us something that was so funny, haha he told us that he has smoken two full bibles! So he has rolled his weed up in the pages of the bible and smoken it and has done that so much that he has smoken two full bibles worth of weed and he said he does it to remember the bible better and remember what it says better. I didn't even know what to say to the guy but I thought it was pretty funny. The people here in Belize some of them are totally nuts but that's okay and I love them.
That's pretty much the highlights of what happened this week. I love you guys so much. I am proud of each and every one of you. Thanks for all of you that write me and give me that support I appreciate it a ton really. I hope all of you have an amazing week!

Dear Michael,
Saturday was my favorite day of this week. Dad told me he told you about the call we got from the man vacationing in Belize so I won’t go into all those details again. But that is why it was my favorite day. Just to hear someone talk about how they saw you out there in you mission looking so great and happy. Those are joyous words to a mother.
I don’t know if Dad told you this but the man that visited with you was from Prescott, AZ. As we spoke with him on the phone we discovered he knew the Lau family. In fact he sold them that big white van they drive around in. Such a small world!
I sent Sis. Hintze a Facebook message about your top retainer. She said she would hook you up with someone as soon as possible but the mission would not pay for it. i assured her that was not our expectation and that you had a credit card to cover that expense. What is the expiration date on your card? I just want to make sure you always have a credit card in case things like this come up.
Today during YM/YW President Toone came in and talked about being a missionary. His daughter got back from Mexico City weeks ago and she came and answered questions as well. It was really great. I had no idea that was the topic. Just this morning Madison and I were talking on the patio and she said she has decided she is most likely going to serve a mission. Then we had President Toone speak about it. It was pretty cool. I know Madison would make an amazing missionary.
Tonight we went over to Granddaddy and Barbaras for dinner. Uncle Scott was in town. He ran the Phoenix marathon yesterday in 3 hours and 33 minutes. It was fun to visit with him. We grilled and then went scorpion hunting. Barbara had never seen a scorpion before so it was funny to see her reaction.
I was reading in second Nephi this morning about the promises Lehi gave his sons. They all had wonderful blessing available to them that were conditional upon their use of agency and their obedience. So it is with us as we are obedient the Lord is able to bless us. Surely we will have bumps in the road along the way but we will be blessed as we are obedient. Continue being obedient on your mission Michael. This is the only way the Lord can allow you to have all the precious experience He intended for you as a missionary. You are truly in a wonderful chapter of your life right now. President Toone testified today that there is nothing you will ever do that will be a more life changing event that serve a mission. You are blessed boy to be out there. I know you know that. We are all so proud of you. We can see His image shining through your countencance in the pictures you send.
Work a hard. Look at each day as an opportunity to make a real difference. You are special. You are our son. We love you so much. We are proud of you. We feel special being able to be your parents and call you son.
Have a wonderful week.
Love,
Mom
