Hey everyone, this was another great week.
I want to talk today about something I already knew but that I saw in my mission this week.
None of our efforts are in vain
Ok, so last Sunday like not yesterday but the Sunday before that me and my comp went and passed by like 3 or 4 houses really far away from the house to try and get some members and investigators to come to church. And we passed by for these people and none of them came. But then we remembered about this one man that we had talked to and decided to go and see if he would like to come to church with us. He wasn't home but his wife was.
We had never met her before, but we invited her to come to church with us right then. She said no but that she would come next week. Which a lot of people say but don't come so we didn't think too much of it. But then last Saturday we passed by to follow up and she was there, we taught her and asked if she was going to come to church this Sunday and she said that she was! Then yesterday we saw her walk into the chapel and come to church for the first time.
It was really rewarding to see that. The person we least expected to come to church out of all our investigators and less actives was her. Her name is Miriam. But she came and whats more amazing is that she stayed for all 3 hours. Miracles.
Also this last saturday I played beach soccer with some less active youth and me and my comp were losing at first then I got the hang of it and we started to beat them pretty consistently. It was super cool super fun.
Nothing that we do is in vane. Especially when we are trying to do something good. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us and that when we try to do what is right he sees that and blesses our efforts.
I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and perfect and that it blesses our lives. I love it with all of my heart and know that through following it we can find true happiness and peace.
I love you
