Hey Family and Friends
This was a great week! Lots of good success. Prayers were definitely answered. I will explain a bit more. So we have an investigator named Edgar. He is 91 years old but in great shape. He is amazing. He has so many incredible life experiences and is a great man. God has been preparing him for 91 years to accept the gospel.
He has now come to church 3 times. This week we passed for him and taught him more and explained again how God wants him to come to church and how God wants him to be baptized and accept the Gospel.
We have been teaching him for the past 3 weeks and the missionary before me actually found him and started teaching him. Now he has progressed and learned and has a date to be baptized this next Sunday! We are super excited for him. I had a really special experience this past week cause missionaries have been inviting him to be baptized since they found him and he never accepted an official date.
Then this week he accepted a date, and said that when he is baptized he knows that everything will be well. That when he comes up out of the water everything will be healed. It made me so happy to hear him say that.
I love the gospel and love my mission. I will never forget the experiences I am having here. It is so great.
Funny side note, it rained this week one day in the morning and a huge lizard almost came into our house, it scared me a bit. I will send pictures. Its beautiful, green and super long. Really cool.
Also this less active member shook some coconuts down from his coconut tree and gave us some, they were really good. Belize is a whole different world. I love it here. Its especially different here in Dangriga.
Also this week I had the opportunity to teach the restoration of the gospel to a lady named Julie right next to the ocean, cause she loves to just go and sit by the ocean so we taught her there.
The mission is full of amazing little experiences like those that I just shared. I love my mission and love the people here of Belize. I hope all of you have a great week!
