Hello Family and Friends!
SO this week was changes week, and I didnt change areas but I got a new companion! My new companions name is Elder Andrade, and he told me to tell all of you that he said hi. Haha. He is super awesome and we get along really well. He is from Honduras and is 20 years old. He has been out on the mission for a year and I am already learning a lot from him. He is a really humble guy. He teaches with the spirit and is always energetic and happy guy especially when we are interacting with the people here. I love being around him. We work in unity and both just do the things that we know we need to do. Its super cool. I apolagize in advance, dont have a picture with him...I will for sure have a few to send home next week. But their are more pictures of my area and of me with some of the families that I have been working with here so enjoy those! But yeah he is super good super cool. Doesnt speak any english but I am happy about that because it is good for my Spanish. We honestly talk just fine together. Their is never a problem with us communicating.
My Spanish is really starting to get there and I am coming up on months in the mission soon which is CRAZY! I am super happy and super excited about the mission. I am getting to the poing where I can really talk and communicate my thoughts and emotions to the people fully. We had a really cool lesson last night that I would like to talk a little bit about.
So last night we had a lesson with an investigator with a guy named Carlos. Carlos is 25 years old and is married to a lady named Amparo. They are so cute together and a super cool family. So Hna Amparo is a less active and her husband Carlos is investigating the church. So last night we were teaching them a lesson about the Plan of Salvation. And it was a super powerful lesson. Like the spirit was super super strong. We explained everything and Carlos was very receptive. I felt the spirit the strongest when I bore my testimony of the Atonement. I truly felt the spirit guiding the lesson and at that point even more. It was very very cool. They are coming to church this next sunday and we are goind to keep working with them. I love these people so much and love being a missioanary. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to be here and to serve.
One thing that I have been learning a lot about on my mission is how to be patient and how to be greatful. We truly have so much to be greatful for! Sometimes we lose sight of the things we have because we arent focusing our minds on our Savior and the things he has blessed us with. I would like to encourage everyone to focus their life on the Savior. Be greatful for all that you have. When we focus our lives on the Savior we see everything in a different light and have desires to be truly happy and to do good. I love all of you, I am so greatful for all of you. Have a great week!
