Hey Family and Friends, this wee was another good week! It was a pretty normal week, nothing too crazy happened, but when you are here in El Salvador their is always something to talk about. We had stake conference this week and that was super cool because the area 70, temple president, and mission president all spoke to us. And it was all in spanish and i could understand a pretty good amount of what was being said. If i had to pick something that I learned about the most it would be the sacrement. The sacrement is super super super super super important! The area 70 asked everyone, Who would like to be baptized again? And of course everyone said that they would like to be baptized again. Then he asked why. And he went on to explain that when we take the sacrament that we are literally made clean again from sin. I know that most of you that are reading this know that already, but when we really think about the sacrament and how much of a blessing it is to have it we have a greater appreciation and reverene or the sacrament.
Something else thats happening is that I am getting a new companion(most likely) this week! So that is super scary and sad beause I love Elder Chavez. He has taught me a ton and been a really great trainer. So next week I will problably be sending a pic of me and my new companion.
Something else cool is that yesterday I had a lesson with this lady named Milgro. She is super nice and I actually found her a few weeks ago just knoking doors. So we were teaching her yesterday about Joseph Smith and she asked about the gold plates, and if they were on display somewhere where we could all see them. That question totally caught me off guard beause no one has ever asked me that before. I didnt really know how to answer it other than no but their are witnesses that we can read about in the scriptures of people who saw them and we need to just have faith because none of us know everything. Anyways this experience taught me that I need to read the sriptures even more beause I always wanna be ready to answers peoples questions the best I can.
Teaching these people is so freaking cool. I love how every day I have the oppurtunity to teach people the gospel. Thats pretty much it for this week, I love you all thanks for all of the love and support, especially family!
