Hey family and friends,
This week was a good week. For those of you who dont remember I got a new companion about a week and a half ago and we are working like crazy here. Like I have never worked like this before ever. But its really good and we are finding a lot of people to teach and have found and are working with some people who are really positive.
I wanna talk a bit about some investigators we have right no. Their names are Julio and his wifes name is Veronica. Sorry in advance for typos this keyboard is honestly horrible. But anyways, they are super super super super awesome! Julio read 15 chapters in the book of mormon and we didnt even tell him to do that. He just did it because he wanted to learn more. And the guy we found out is a famous motivational speaker.
Like he talks to thousands of people a week about how to be happier and live a fuller life and whatever else motivational speakers talk about. He actually went to the US onetime to talk to the lakers for his work. He has written 5 books too and they are all published. He gave me one and signed it without me even asking so maybe Ill send a picture of the cover next week. But anyways he is super cool.
We had an activity or a holiday here that we dont have in the states. Its a holiday to celebrate kids. Its actually like a month long thing i dont really get it but we had an actvity at the church to celebrate children and Julio and his wife came and it was a cool experience. we got to talk to them a bit more about what we believe and after the activity they took us out to eat pupussas and we talked some more. They are super good people.
We are going to invite them this week to be baptized and I hope that they say yes. The longer I am out here the more I just love these people. It makes me sad when people aren't willing to do what is necessary to be happy and find joy. For example last night I was visiting this family and they are all inactive. Me and my companion were trying to explain that they need to come to church and fulfill the covenant they made with God when they got baptized. But they just were not understanding and kept making excuses of why they couldn't go to church. It made me sad, but I know that I just need to do what I can.
I am here to invite and help others to come unto Christ and if I am doing my best to do that then I am fulfilling my calling as a missionary. Anyways I love you guys, keep up the work wherever you are and know that I love you!
