Okay guys so this is what happened this week....
I got transfered! I am in a new area that is closer to the capital. Its more of a city but SUPER ghetto city type thing. Like graffiti everywhere and trash all over the place and all that. Also here there are like mountains we climb every day. Its nuts cause they are these humongous hills but its streets and people like live in these hills in houses. Totally different and super cool. I will be sure to send some pics next week of what my area looks like!
But yeah it was sad to leave my first area. I was there for 6 months and its weird still that I am in a new place. But I feel good and happy to be here.
So now I am going to talk a little bit about my companion. He is a mini missionary. Which means he isnt a full time missionary. He is here for 6 weeks, or one transer, as basically a practice for when he goes on his own mission. So he is like crazy new and hasnt even started his mission. He is from here and lives like 20 min from where our area is.
He is a weird dude. I mean I love him but we definately arent alike. But I dont judge him at all and I love him so much. His story is super sad. He is the only member in his family. His family doesnt support him in what he is doing in the mission so they never write him. He doesnt know who his dad is he left when he found out his mom was pregnate and his mom right now is in the hospital dying of lung cancer. Also 2 of his older brothers have died. And theirs more I am sure but basically the guy has had a lot of trials in his life. So I am just doing my best to help him in the ways that I can.
But anyways the area is really awesome, we have some good potientil here and are working hard to have success. The members here are really kind and feed us dinner every night. Their is a calander that is passed around that they all sign up and its great cause I am getting to know the members a lot better and build more of these relationships.
Right now the most positive investigator we have is a girl named Lucy, she is 11 years old and is going to get baptized this saturday. Her mom will get baptized in march she is just still in the process of moving away from her boyfriend. But this week was awesome, its cool to be senior companion I have a lot more control in how we work and everything and I am learning a lot. I hope all of you ave a great week!
These pictures are from my first area. Say Goodbye to members and old companion.
