Hey everyone, well another week has gone by here in the mission and I have gotta say this week was FAST! Like super super super super SUPER fast. We worked hard and visited a lot of people. We also walked a TON this week. Like I can already see my legs changing from being here. They are getting a lot stronger from walking all day every day. but everything is going well. I feel comfortable saying that I am fluent in Spanish. If someone says something in Spanish its like they are talking in English to me. I understand it perfectly and do not even have to think about it really. That is like 99 percent of the time. The other 1 percent I understand but a word maybe 2 I don't know. But I love it its super awesome to be able to communicate fully with these people in Spanish. I definitely think I can understand just a tad bit better than I can talk. But that is fine. Its that where I am at is real close to the boarder between Guatemala and Belize so a lot of people here speak spanish and English but they prefer to speak in spanish. That is one thing that makes this place super unique.
Also like I mentioned last week I got to go visit some awesome Mayan ruins so I will be sending a lot of pictures of that this week! Its was really cool. Their is so much culture here in Belize and the people truly are unique. I love them soo much. Their culture is really really cool. Like they do not have very much but whatever they have they will always share it with you. Like they are always willing to help and to give to those who need it. Always willing to share.
This week as far as working and finding people to teach and everything was very normal. But I am learning a lot here about the importance of hard work and its awesome. I love this work. I love the mission and I love my Savior. I know he lives and that he wants us to be happy and to trust in his atoning sacrifice for us. When we focus on Him and trust in Him we are happy and have increased joy and peace in our lives. I have seen people here who literally have next to nothing and they are some of the happiest people I have seen. I know that the gospel bring happiness.
Also this week I officially passed the 9 month mark! So I am pretty happy about that its cool to see how fast time goes by and I really am just shocked with how much time has gone by already. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and know it blesses all of those who accept it in their lives and live it.
