Okay Family and Friends, this is what this week had in store for me! So last Monday I had the opportunity to play ping pong which was super fun. I hold the paddle different and everyone was asking me why I did that and when I told them it was because I learned how to play from my cousins that are Japanese. They thought that was super cool. It was also my companions birthday. You would think that is a happy day, which it is, but so many people gave us food! Holy cow I have never eaten so much in my life it hurt so bad. So first for my companions breakfast my favorite lady in the mission, Hermana Angie, fed usa papussas. Which are SUPER GOOD. But she for some reason is a true believer that because we are missionaries and we walk alot we need to eat a ton of food. And when we ask her for less food she gets super offended so we have to eat all of it. So we ate that huge breakfast.
Then their is a mini shopping mall in my area called unicentro and we went and ate burger king their for my friends birthday. Then we ate some more puppussas for lunch and after that we had a lesson and the family gave us 4 sandwiches each to eat! We couldn't do it, we ate three then we were super full and could not eat anymore. After that I was convinced that I was going to throw up but somehow I didn't. So that was a fun day. I want to take a minute and just explain that Hermana Angie cooks for us 2 to 3 times a day, we pay here to be our cocinera and she is super super sweet. So nice. She is like the equivalent of my mom in the mission. Mom I love you so much more don't worry, your the best mom in the world :) So that was super cool. I also had a really cool experience with prayer. I have been really prayinbg for my investigators, because they aren't committing to dates. Then yesterday one of our investigators accepted a date for this month to be baptized which as super cool!
I love my mission and I love these people so much. Its sad because some of my investigators have really problems and cannot get baptized for things that are really hard. For example one of our investigators Maria cant be baptized because her boyfriend doesn't want to marry her, they have three kids together so she cant really move out pluys she doesn't have any money. So thats a bummer but I know that someday the conditions will be right and she will have the oppurtunity to be baptized. I love these people so much. And the longer I am here the more I can see the undeniable love my Heavenly Father has for these people. I am going to explain some of the pictures really fast, so the pictures with the food is me eating and me cooking pupussas.
The other pictures are mainly pictures of just El Salvador. Pictures I was able to take of my area. The other picture of me with the guy, he name is Pedro and he is super cool. He is less active and so we visit him once or twice a week. He is super cool and usually he isnt wearing a shirt so idk what happened the day we took that picture. I had the privilege of being one of the witnesses for a baptism, one of the people who makes sure all goes well with it and what not. It was super super cool to see him from over the font go under and come up out of the water. I am super happy he made the decision to be baptized. Well anyway, I am out of time. I spent a few extra minutes sending pictures so sorry this is a little short. I love all of you that are reading this! If you have any specific questions ask me in an email and I will try and answer them in this email. I know this church is true and that this is truly the work of God. I feel privileged to be a missionary!
